The harmony series of the DMC mouthpiece collection is a standard Contra Bass Clarinet mouthpiece with the following characteristics:

• trapezoidal throat (see pictures)

  • 2.4 (L)
  • 2.6 (XL)
  • 2.8 (2XL)
  • 3.0 (3XL)
• facing lengths
  • 28 (M & L)
  • 29 (XL)
  • 30 (2XL and 3XL) 
• Wide table and narrow window
  • this makes the mouthpiece suitable for original contra bass reeds and bariton saxophone reeds
• steep table of 5.5 degrees
  • this results in more projection but also in a more concave barrel
• a short and low baffle
• printed with strong food safe material

These are the standard mouthpieces intended for classical music and offered as 3D printed mouthpiece. 
We can print the mouthpiece in our standard colours: black, dark grey and dark blue.

There are a lot op options to choose:

• the tip opening
  • M is easier to play but also easier to squeeze. XL is the most common. 3XL and even 4XL are for strong experieced players
• the baffle length
• •  Classical players prefer a minimal baffle (short and low)
  • Jazz player prefer more baffle (up to long and high)
• the beak angle
  • the standard beak angle for modern instruments is 26 degrees, for vintage instruments like the Leblanc paperclip it can be interesting to try a larger beak angle of 27 or 28. This results in more resistance but offers a large chamber volume that can result in a better intonation with vintage instruments. 

We also offer digital mouthpieces for contra bass that you can print on a 3D printer.
